Prenatal Consultations

A virtual visit designed to help you feel informed and prepared before your baby arrives. We’ll talk through feeding expectations, early supply support, and create a plan for the early postpartum period so you know what’s normal and when to reach out for help.

    • 60-minute virtual consultation

    • Breastfeeding preparation guide

  • A relaxed, one-on-one virtual visit focused on preparing you for feeding your baby. We’ll talk through your goals, address questions or concerns, and review what’s normal in the early days so you feel informed and supported before birth.

  • Research shows that prenatal breastfeeding education increases maternal knowledge and confidence about feeding, strengthens positive attitudes toward breastfeeding, and is associated with higher breastfeeding uptake after birth. Parents who receive prenatal education are more likely to feel prepared and capable as they begin feeding their baby, which can support a smoother transition into breastfeeding or pumping after delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I do not accept insurance and operate on a self-pay model so I can provide timely, individualized care without the restrictions often imposed by insurance plans. This model allows for longer, unrushed visits, faster scheduling, and care that extends beyond the appointment itself.

While I do not bill insurance directly, many families choose to submit services to their insurance for possible reimbursement. I’m happy to provide a superbill upon request for you to submit to your insurance provider. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your individual plan.

  • HSA and FSA funds are accepted and can be used for lactation services.

  • Each visit includes our scheduled appointment plus 7 days of unlimited messaging support. Feeding concerns often change after a visit, and this follow-up allows for real-time troubleshooting, reassurance, and plan adjustments.

  • A self-pay model allows me to:

    • See families more quickly

    • Spend more time during visits

    • Offer consistent follow-up support

    • Focus on care rather than coverage limitations

This structure supports a higher level of care than a single, isolated visit.
